Fortunato Ramos plays the Elke, a long pipe-like instrument seen in the north of Argentina. He is also a writer, a poet, a teacher with extensive knowledge of the Quebrada de Humahuaca a narrow mountain valley that was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2003.
