Oscar Palavecino was raised in Northern Argentina very close to the borders of Paraguay and Bolivia. His singing career began as a driver traveling routes Vespucci, Pocitos and Oran up to Tucumán, and was known as "The singer of Atahualpa". Three Pilcomayo was the name of his first band, when he was 25 years old. Chanqueno has released many albums and in 2010 released "25 Years", a compilation of the first 25 years of his career. He continues today as a huge force in the music of Argentina.
